Amanda comes from the great state of Florida. She has three brothers and three sisters. After high school, Amanda completed her Bachelor's Degree at Furman University. She completed her first year of teaching in South Carolina before moving to Hawai'i to marry her husband, who was serving in the US Navy. Teaching in Hawai'i had it's perks, but all good things must come to an end and moving back to the mainland brought her back to reality. Amanda spent a few years in Washington State with her husband, teaching technology with an amazing view of Seattle. After Mr. Collins's tour was complete in Washington, Mrs. Collins and her family moved to Georgia. While in Georgia, Mrs. Collins continued teaching and enjoying time at the beach. In 2010, Mrs. Collins moved to Alcoa, TN with her family and is now teaching at Alcoa Middle School.
In her spare time Mrs. Collins enjoys teaching Body Pump, reading, riding her bike, knitting and planning dream vacations.
Mrs. Collins has 4 children in the school system and enjoys going to work with them everyday.
