Both the drama A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley  and the film Scrooge tell the same story, but they reflect the use of different techniques that are unique to each medium. To compare reading the play and watching the film, look for similarities and differences in how the two mediums present the same subject.

Write a compare and contrast  essay in which you analyze the similarities and differences between the two versions of Charles Dickens's famous novel. Describe the techniques used to each medium, and conclude your essay by explaining which adaptation you think is more effective.
