A Message from Mrs. Long

On behalf of our faculty, staff, and students, I would like to welcome you to Alcoa Middle School. At AMS we are dedicated to providing our students with an educational experience that is rigorous in content and relevant to their daily lives. Our mission statement, “Graduating Competitive Students,” focuses our efforts on preparing students for today’s ever-changing world and their future goals. The relationships we build will our students allow us to hold our students to high expectations both academically and behaviorally. Our teachers seek to ensure that our students have mastered not only the skills and standards necessary for success after AMS but also building strong relationships with their teachers and peers to last a lifetime. 

I am privileged to serve as a Principal within this high-quality school and education community. I believe that the partnerships between school, family, and community are the key to our success now and in the future.
