iReady Diagnostic Testing for Virtual Learning Academy Students

AMS Online Parents and Students

One of the most important things we do at the beginning of each year is to administer the iReady Diagnostic Tests for ELA and Math.

The results of the test determine what level of instruction students need and lessons are assigned based on their performance on the diagnostic.  If they don't try, they won't get appropriate lessons.  If they cheat (ex. - big sister tells them answers, or they use a calculator) then the lessons they get assigned may be too hard.  So, clearly it is important we get good, honest data.

Please watch the short “must watch” video, and read the attached checklist and follow the guidelines and suggestions to ensure we get good data.

We will communicate results with families in a couple of weeks.

Virtual Students can access iReady thru the class link login on their Chromebook.

They can begin the iReady diagnostics Wednesday, July 29th.

They can work anytime between the hours of 8:00 am-4:00 pm.

All students should have both diagnostics completed by Wednesday, August 5th.

If you have questions, please email Julie Ailshie at jailshie@alcoaschools.net.  Make sure to include your student's name and grade in any correspondence.
