Profile
In college, I had the opportunity to intern at Alcoa Middle School and fell in love with the school system and community. A year later, I was hired to teach 8th-grade English and coach cheerleading, and I’ve been here ever since. Currently, this is my twenty-second year teaching, and I feel very fortunate to call Alcoa Middle School home and for my own children to attend this great school system.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters in Elementary Education with a Reading Concentration. I later attended Lincoln Memorial University and obtained my Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Leadership.
Teaching middle schoolers have become my passion, and I can truly say that I love my job and coming to work each day.
