Profile
My teaching career began in the fall of 2000 at Maury Middle School in Dandridge, Tennessee, where I taught 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies. In 2001, I joined the Sevier County School System and spent six years teaching 5th Grade at Sevierville Intermediate School.
After earning my Master's degree in Technology, I accepted a position at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School in Gatlinburg, where I taught technology and served as the school's Technology Coordinator for 14 years.
In 2021, I began an exciting new chapter at Alcoa Middle School, teaching 8th Grade Math while also managing the school's technology needs. During the 2023–2024 school year, I officially became the AMS Building Technology Coordinator. The following year, I transitioned into teaching Reading, a role I have truly enjoyed.
For the 2026–2027 school year, I will be teaching Math RTI (6th and 7th Grades), Reading RTI (6th, 7th, and 8th Grades), and 6th Grade Social Studies. It has been a tremendous joy to be part of the Alcoa Middle School family, and I am proud to be an Alcoa Tornado!
Outside of school, I live in Blount County with my husband, Ben. We have three wonderful children: Caleb, Makenzie, and Kadie. Our daughters keep us busy traveling to basketball games throughout the year! Makenzie is a 2023 graduate of Alcoa High School and is a student-athlete at Milligan University, where she plays basketball while pursuing her dream of becoming a Physician Assistant. Kadie is also a student-athlete at Alcoa High School and proudly represents the Lady Tornadoes on the basketball court. Go Lady T's! 🌪️
Our family also includes two cats, Teeko and Kalie, who keep life entertaining at home!
