Profile
I’m excited to start this new school year with you! It’s an honor to be your teacher, and I’m looking forward to a fun, challenging, and rewarding year of learning and growth together.
I strive to create a close-knit community where everyone feels safe, supported, respected, and encouraged. My goal is to help each student grow to their full potential by creating a positive environment that values curiosity, risk-taking, responsibility, and mutual trust. I take this responsibility seriously and feel truly privileged to guide and support my students throughout the year.
A little about me: I’m originally from Athens, Georgia. I graduated with my Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Carson-Newman University and received my Ed.S. from Lincoln-Memorial in Educational Leadership. I am married to Laken, and we have three wonderful little boys who keep us very busy at home! When I get a chance, I love to read, crochet, and garden. As the year goes on, you’ll definitely hear stories (and see pictures!) of my family, because they mean the world to me. I believe laughter is the best medicine and I try to make my students smile every day!
If you ever have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact me by email, or call the Alcoa Middle School office at (865) 982-5211 and leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Let’s make this an incredible year together!
