I am a graduate of Alcoa City Schools. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration, Masters in Curriculum & Instruction, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education, Leadership, and Policy Studies all from the University of Tennessee.
I coordinate the AMS Jayteens, School Store/Concessions, and the coordinator of the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC. I am honored to serve as the Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for Alcoa Middle School.
In addition to my school responsibilities, I am the president of the Empty Pantry Fund (501C-3 organization), Adjunct Professor at Carson Newman University, and an Instructor for Trio Program at the University of Tennessee.
Social Studies Curriculum: Students are provided a notebook to complete when completing each lesson. We do not use a textbook in this class; however, we will use a combination of the following: books, document based questions, youtube videos, web searches, lecture/discussion, and movies.
