Profile
I am Crystel Smith. I attended the University of Tennessee following graduation from Seymour High School. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 1997. Returning to school, I received my Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2021.
I was hired to teach at Alcoa Elementary in 1999. I taught in a multi-age classroom for third through fifth grade. After teaching at AES for three years, I moved to Alcoa Middle School where I taught fifth grade. I taught fifth-grade math for several years before moving up to teach sixth-grade math. I worked with sixth graders since 2014 and in 2024 I moved to a seventh grade math position.
I am very excited to be a part of the seventh grade team here at AMS.
