Profile
I am Crystel Smith. I attended the University of Tennessee following graduation from Seymour High School. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 1997. Returning to school, I received my Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2021.
I was hired to teach at Alcoa Elementary in 1999. I taught in a multi-age classroom for third through fifth grade. After teaching at AES for three years, I moved to Alcoa Middle School where I taught fifth grade. I taught fifth-grade math for several years before moving up to teach sixth-grade math where I continue to this day.
I am very fortunate to be a member of this sixth-grade team. I am a part of a group of teachers who love kids and who love to teach.
