Syllabus

6th Grade Science:
 
This year in 6th grade students will learn physical, life, Earth and space sciences.  There will also be some focus on engineering, technology, and the application of science through the engineering design process.  The physical science aspect for 6th grade will look at the different types of potential and kinetic energy and the different types of energy transformations that occur between the two.  Life science will look at the interactions, energy and dynamics within ecosystems as well as biological changes that can occur.  Earth and space will look at a variety of things such as: ocean currents, convection patterns, weather, climate, and the global impact of human activities.      
 
 
Objectives and Standards:
